Summary: Mention LinkedIn to most people, and they’ll tell you that they capitalize on it when they need a new job. However, this social media powerhouse can help you build a professional network. And, it can also help its users to share information and learn from others. This session will focus on LinkedIn basics and how to build an effective network.
Specific items covered in the session include:
- What’s in your LinkedIn profile (A review of the basics for an exceptional profile.)
- What are LinkedIn’s hidden aspects?
- Professional research
- Sharing professional status
- And of course, finding that next opportunity
- How do I build an effective network on LinkedIn?
- How do I share content?
Length of presentation: The virtual presentation is one hour in length.
Value proposition: As my talk will attest, the use of LinkedIn is not only a job search tool but one that project managers can use for professional research and outreach.
Target audience: This talk is aimed at project managers and prospective members. Each participant can receive PDUs through PMI.
Materials: A copy of my PowerPoint can be provided to each participant.
