BRT Helsinki 16.6.2017 – ‘Project Manager in the Good News Bubble’
June 16 @ 08:15 - 10:00Free
Do you have a project management bubble that needs bursting?
Harward Business Review wrote in March, based on interview of 200 CEOs, that the biggest challenge the CEOs have is that they live in a bubble. The information they get is filtered so many times that the truth often is lost in the process. The key challenge for modern CEOs is to burst the bubble.
In projects, behind major delays and failures there are usually simple reasons that relate to project vision, communications and co-operation. The root-causes are identified only when doing the project post mortem. Does this mean that also project managers have lived in a bubble, surely the problems have been know much earlier?
After project kick-off there are rarely systematic ways in place to measure the status of key people related risks. Projects that do something in this field do it in manual and slow manner (collect data, analyse data, decide on actions and communicate actions). Since the biggest project organisation related risks are well know, would it make sense to manage them more actively, together with the whole organisation, making everybody responsible on the key success enablers?
Please join us on the 16th of June and hear a concept presentation on transparent & community based way of managing key people related risks. Kimmo Vättö from Celkee Oy will present a concept and few case stories on the new concept. After the presentation there is likely to emerge a very interesting discussion.
